How Can You Help?
The EEFRC is funded by grants and donations. Manpower is furnished by a small staff and volunteers.
You can become a friend of the EEFRC by volunteering, contributing financially or by donating services, materials, and items. By becoming a friend you will be supporting programs that:
West Virginia Neighborhood Investment Program
West Virginia Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) tax credits are awarded to charitable organizations to support their fund-raising efforts.
An individual or business donating $500 or more to the EEFRC can receive a WV tax credit for half of that amount and can deduct the full amount of the contribution on their federal income tax return.
For example, this means the ultimate out-of-pocket expense for a contribution of $1000 could be less than $250 and for $500 could be less than $125.
Contribution amounts are not limited to these examples. Also, the transfer of stock is an eligible contribution. NIP Credits will be available on a first come, first served basis each year.
For more information about NIP Credits you may call the EEFRC, consult your Accountant or call the West Virginia Development Office at (800) 982-3386 or (304) 558-2234.
